New-Build Homeowners
Technology planned into the build at first fix, when cabling costs a fraction of what it costs to retrofit later.
What new builds need from an installer
A new build is the only opportunity to hide infrastructure properly. Cabling, containment, speaker positions and camera points installed before ceilings close cost far less than chasing walls afterwards, and the finished result looks like part of the architecture rather than an addition to it.
Requirements we plan around
- A point schedule agreed before the electrical first fix
- Containment coordinated with the builder and electrician
- Camera and access point positions that account for the finished garden and roofline
- Documented as-built drawings for whoever maintains the house later
How the project runs
- 1We review the architectural drawings and mark up required points, routes and equipment positions.
- 2First fix is installed alongside the electrical work, before ceilings and finishes.
- 3Second fix, termination and equipment installation follow the building programme.
- 4Testing, certification and a handover pack are completed before you move in.
Questions we are asked most often
If your question is not covered here, call and ask directly — the answer is usually short.
Ideally at design stage, and at the latest before the electrical first fix. After ceilings are closed the options narrow and the cost rises.
